[21] Regional residents undertook a rescue mission, taking the injured off the mountain where they had been then transferred to Sligo County Medical center. Significant wreckage on the aircraft stayed to the mountain for quite some time following the crash and these days confined amounts of plane fragments continue to remain at the location.[21]
